Our Mission
Our mission at Nurturing Behaviours inc. is to teach with compassion and care, creating individualized services tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. We are dedicated to empowering our clients to develop independence and reach their full potential through thoughtful, personalized programming.
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based approach that uses the science of learning and behaviour to help individuals build meaningful skills and reduce behaviours that may interfere with daily life. At Nurturing Behaviours Inc., ABA therapy is individualized and client-centered, focusing on each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. For early learners, ABA may target foundational skills such as communication, play, social interaction, toilet training, and early learning readiness (e.g., attending, following instructions, imitation). For teenagers, goals often include increasing independence, daily living skills, emotional regulation, building healthy relationships, and preparing for life after high school. Our team works closely with families to create supportive, nurturing environments where children and youth can thrive
How are we different then other ABA companies?
At Nurturing Behaviours Inc., we take pride in offering a compassionate, individualized, and high-quality approach to ABA therapy that sets us apart from other providers. Our commitment to excellence begins with clinical oversight — we strive to ensure that at least 20% of sessions are supervised by a member of our experienced clinical team. This level of involvement allows for more consistent monitoring, feedback, and ongoing program adjustments to better support each child’s progress.
Every ABA program we develop is custom-tailored to reflect the child’s and family’s specific goals, strengths, and challenges. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all programming — we take the time to truly understand each child and what they need to succeed.
We prioritize open and continuous communication with families through team chats, regular meetings, and shared decision-making. Parents and caregivers are essential members of the team, and we believe progress is strongest when everyone is working together.
Importantly, our services are rooted in a trauma-informed approach. We recognize that all behaviour is a form of communication, and we seek to understand the “why” behind each behaviour. Instead of focusing solely on changing behaviours, we help children develop safer, more effective ways to express their thoughts and feelings, building trust, confidence, and long-term coping strategies.
At Nurturing Behaviours, we teach with empathy, nurture with intention, and support with purpose — always focused on helping each child thrive in their own way.
