At Nurturing Behaviours Inc., we believe respite should be more than just a break—it should be fun, meaningful, and enriching for the children we support. Our respite services are available in family homes, community locations, and coming soon—our brand-new Sensory Gym in Lambeth, Ontario!
We create safe, engaging environments where children can enjoy themselves while caregivers take well-deserved time to rest, run errands, or simply recharge. Our team works closely with each family to ensure comfort, trust, and individualized care.
We also offer:
- Transportation to and from activities
- Support with leisure outings and community events
- Flexible options based on caregiver preferences
- 2:1 staffing for children and youth with higher support needs
Our goal is to make respite a positive experience for everyone—building joy and reducing burnout, one family at a time.

Finding the right respite worker for your child & Family:
At Nurturing Behaviours Inc., we know how important it is to find a respite worker who truly fits your family’s needs. That’s why we take the time to thoughtfully match each child with a team member who shares similar interests and hobbies, has relevant experience supporting children with similar needs, and is available when you need them.
Before your child meets their respite worker, we’ll send you an “All About Me” form filled out by the worker so you can get to know them in advance. This helps build comfort and connection right from the start.
If at any point you feel that the match isn’t quite right, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Respite Coordinator, Stephanie Dyck. She will be happy to make adjustments to ensure your child is paired with someone who is the best possible fit.
